The World's Fastest Bronco 6G Build

     Before we embark on swapping the Coyote 5.0L DOHC V8 into the 6th Generation Ford Bronco we decided to push the factory 2.3L Ecoboost Inline-4 to its absolute limits. The goal here was to drastically improve the 0-60MPH time and 1/4 Mile of our shop's 2022 Bronco Big Bend Non-Sas with the 2.3L Ecoboost and 4.29 Gear Ratios. To achieve this we reached out to Burger Motorsports for their JB4 Piggyback Tuner which plugs into the MAP (Manifold Absolute Pressure) Sensor on the Intake Manifold and TMAP Sensor on the Charge Pipe allowing higher boost levels to be achieved. The JB4 has multiple preset "Maps" which we used Map5 that increase boost by +7psi peak and used a mixture of 70% 93 Octane Fuel with 30% Ethanol to curtail detonation and prevent knock retard. 

     Next we dove into the ABS Module using Forscan which is a free tool to Configure and Program modules in the Bronco. We specifically added the G.O.A.T. Mode "BAJA" which isn't available in the Big Bend trim and we programmed it in for good reason, Baja mode gives the Bronco more aggressive shift scheduling, faster throttle response and more importantly if you manually put the Bronco into M2 (Manual Mode 2nd Gear) it allows you to Brake-Boost from a launch at 12psi or more which drastically cuts 0-60MPH time. This is important since the Bronco is boost limited in 1st Gear and launching in second allows a much more brutal launch with the 4.29 Gears. We have a video explaining how to add G.O.A.T. Modes as well.

      After installing a Roush Cold Air Intake (took literally 2 minutes) we tested it. As we got heat into the engine the 0-60 progressively went down from 5.6s, 5.3s, 5.12s, then one last run with a hard brake boosted launch it went 4.82s 0-60MPH and 11.15s @90.91 to the 1000ft with a 1/4mi ET of 13.44@98 MPH! These times were verified via Dragy V2 which is accurate into .001 ET and also video footage.  For comparison Palm Beach Dyno's 2.7L Bronco was the Quickest at 5.34s 0-60MPH and a user named MWILD had the Fastest ET at 13.84@95 MPH. Hennesey Performance claims 4.5s 0-60 out of there Velociraptor 500 Package which theres no Dragy data or video proof for it.

     How a 2.3L Ecoboost brick achieved these times is beyond us but now that the recipe is out, our time will probably be broken but until then its the Quickest 6G Bronco out there. There's still much more to go from Intercooler upgrades, charge pipes, Ford ProCal Trans Tuning and weight reduction so expect to see this particular 2.3L Ecoboost Bronco in the 12s very soon!
